Hi, I'm Tara,
Welcome to ByYourSide Adoption Consultants.
My first experience in the world of adoption started back in 2008 when my husband and I decided to grow our family through adoption after many unsuccessful attempts at infertility. We adopted our first child later that year and adopted our second child in 2010.
After our first adoption, I began working as an adoption consultant and helping other families through the adoption process. I am very passionate and knowledgeable about the adoption process. I devote myself to my clients, making the adoption process as easy as possible for them by giving them the education and support they need every step of the way.
As your advocate, I will guide you through your adoption journey. I am always just a phone call away. I have walked in your shoes. I know the process. I am YOUR advocate! I am YOUR person during your adoption journey!
I have a Master’s degree in Education and an Educational Specialist Degree. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and working out.

FAQs
What is the advantage of working with an adoption consultant? As a consultant, I provide clients unlimited guidance and support; I educate clients on their adoption journey and help set realistic expectations as every adoption journey is unique. I am here to answer for any questions that might arise.
Do we have to be active in a church or have a religious affiliation to be a client of BYSAC? No.

What happens if a client needs to talk to you, but it is "after hours" or on the weekend? My clients call me whenever they need me. If I am awake, then I will answer their call.
Do you provide information about adoption loans, grants, and fundraising? Yes.
What do we need to do if we are interested in applying to be a client of BYSAC? Families need to have a completed home study in order to fill out an application with BYSAC. If you have a completed home study, then please fill out a web inquiry on the CONTACT page requesting information. BYSAC will respond with information about services and the application process.

Can you provide information on home study providers? Yes.
We need a family profile book. Help? BYSAC can provide you with information on how to do your profile. If you would like a referral for a profile book company, BYSAC can give you a referral. If you prefer to do your own profile book, look into Mixbook, Canva, or Etsy for profile templates. Once you are a client, BYSAC will review your profile book and provide feedback (if needed).
What services are not provided by BYSAC? BYSAC does not operate as an adoption agency nor are we a licensed adoption agency. This means that BYSAC cannot perform the legal work required to finalize your adoption and cannot make all the documents official. BYSAC's role as an adoption consultant is to be a guide and a resource through the adoption process, but BYSAC cannot provide the legal services necessary to make an adoption legally enforceable. BYSAC will help guide you through that process, but we cannot create or execute those documents.
Do you offer a phone consultation at no charge? ​​Yes.

Does BYSAC have a waitlist? BYSAC does not keep a waitlist; however, application availability is based on current caseload.
